Wanting to make some cute and quick pilgrims, but not sure of what to do? If you have a diamond ring cutter, then you're set! My ring cutter is a good size- nearly 4" tall. But the design would still work if you have a smaller ring cutter instead!

In my opinion, many cookie cutters wear a disguise. It's like they celebrate Halloween every day! I love trying to figure out their alter-egos.
I love re-purposing cutters, especially using a single cutter for making multiple designs for one occasion. A skull cutter has so many possibilities! I have a small collection of skull cutters, and I am always on the lookout for a new skull style.
Inspired by a bikini cookie made by Sweet Sugarbelle, I used a corset cutter to make this cute hula girl cookie! I used a ruffled edge corset cutter, like this one. Check out my video on how I made it! This video was my very first iMovie. I won't win any Oscars, but I learned a lot in the process!
One of my favorite spring/early summer blooms are lilies. Take a look at how I made these beautiful flowers! I used a 6-pointed star cutter for my lily shape. A 6-petal flower shape could work too!
I own hundreds of cookie cutters. Like well over 600. Even though I continue to purchase new cutters all the time, I still find myself needing to piece together (or "Frankencookie") cut cookie dough shapes to create the look I want. It can be stressful making a collection of cookies- enough to make me want a spa day!
Every season, new cookie cutters make their appearance in craft and discount stores. Pictures are posted on Facebook or Instagram by the lucky cookiers who first spied them. A mad rush to the stores ensues, followed by the updated pictures and statuses of "I found them!" and "I bought extras-who needs them!". And those of us who are unable to score the highly sought-after shapes are left to cry in our cookie dough with dreams of what-ifs.
And then comes along a Cookie Fairy Godmother. School will be out for my kids in less than two weeks. It is the first year that I am not teaching and experiencing that sheer giddiness of handing in my classroom keys for the summer. No, this year it's different. In less than two weeks, my boys will be together 24-7. With lots of fighting, and yelling, and eating, and a little bit of getting along thrown in there. Just a little though. My days of quiet cookie-making are going to come to a screeching halt.
Graduation season is coming to a close and the thermometer says that summer is right around the corner. What does graduation and summertime have in common? The Wilton graduation cookie cutters! With a little creative thinking, these cookie cutters can be pool-ready in no time!
In my house, my boys were fascinated with leprechauns- those nosy little green men that popped up around St. Paddy's Day. They knew the stories of how these mythical little creatures were greedy and ruthless in their endless search for gold coins, or any money for that matter. In hopes of seeing (and catching) one of these mysterious creatures, my kids would make "leprechaun traps" of sorts with assorted boxes and toys, baited with a few pennies and quarters. Overnight, the nosy leprechaun would spring the trap, steal the coins, but leave a little something sweet to commend the boys' efforts in trying to trap him. So I decided to make a version of these nosy leprechauns- NOSY in the literal sense! WOW- that's a big nose. Perfect for a nosy little creature! Let's make them!
